In keeping with Inflite’s policy of providing a comprehensive service from within the company a fully equipped Loom Bay was established in 1995 to meet the needs of customers who wished to place orders for a finished and tested product.

As in other areas of the business investment has been available to keep pace with the needs of the customer.

The Electrical facility have the capability to undertake work ranging from a single wire through to complex harnesses calling for connectors, boots, woven expandable sleeves and metal braiding.

The Loom Shop is fully airconditioned, an essential requirement to ensure that delicate assemblies, involving multi connections, during a period of high ambient temperature are not adversely affected.

Inflite’s Electrical Division can undertake any size of commitment from single Test Panel, custom built Crates, relay panels through to production quantities of harnesses. Where the customer wishes to purchase the complete package including all metal work the Electrical facility can call upon the services of the Sheet Metal Division working together to deliver in accordance with the customer’s condition of supply.

The Loom Bay

The Loom bay offers 250’ of vertical Mylar Boards capable of catering for some very large looms and harnesses.

A major investment in this department is the introduction of a Laser Printer capable of printing cables from 26 gauge to 6 gauge at a rate up to 6 Metres per minute.

Laser printing was designed specifically for the processing of single core wires and jacketed multi core cables employed in the aerospace and other industries where accuracy and traceability are critical.
