AST Aerospace Surface Treatments division looks after the surface treatments needs of the group of companies within Swan Investments. The division has also developed its own outside customer base, a number of these customers are in fact competitors of our own manufacturing companies.

Delivery times are between 7-10 days; dependent on the complexity of the work and the number of processes the work has to go through.

Surface treatments, work a two shift system, working 24hr x 6 days per week.

Besides surface treatments, the division also carries out NDT and heat treatments operations.

There are three main process lines - Steels - Aluminium - Paint finishes

The extensive equipped division includes, Process tanks for both steels and aluminium lines which at present consist of 92 tanks, the larger tanks are ] 2 ft X 2ft X 6ft high. Added to this are four large spray ovens to cope with the many variety of paint finishes.

A comprehensive process laboratory supports all these processes.
