Aerospace Surface Treatments has developed a manufacturing facility. Originally to support the aircraft component repair facility for both machined and fabricated components. Because AST is supported by an extensively equipped workshop, allowing the complete manufacturing cycle to be carried out in-house. This division has now, in addition, a bespoke one stop-shop, not only for rapid turn-around requirements for AOG classified components, but a facility of the manufacture of small batch runs. This is for either repairs, spares or Mod kits for fixed wing and rotary aircraft. The components are manufacture either from OEMs drawings, catia or any other electronic process and in a number of cases instigated design schemes in support of the OEM.

The main materials AST works in, is aluminium specs, steels specs and titanium specs. To assist fabrications AST produces it own tooling when required. Fabrication also includes small and large assemblies.

The work force is highly skilled and many of them are multi- tasked in a variety of the manufacturing disciplines when operating in both on-site and off-site environment.
